The Group consists of the enterprises IMO Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG, IMO Antriebseinheit GmbH & Co. KG, IMO Energy GmbH & Co. KG, IMO Momentenlager GmbH & Co. KG and IMO Holding GmbH.

All companies are headquartered in Gremsdorf,  Nuremberg metropolitan region, in Southern Germany.

The IMO Group is a member of the  Bundesverband der Energie-Abnehmer e.V. (German Federal Association of Energy Consumers), the  IHK (International Chamber of Commerce), and the  Forschungsvereinigung Antriebstechnik (Research Union for Power Transmission).
